Vocational Training at More Africa
The More Africa Vocational Training Centre provides our young adults with special needs the opportunity to learn valuable skills for an independent future. The training focuses on practical, hands-on learning in various fields, preparing students for employment, becoming independent and enhance their quality of life.
Key features of our VTC
✅ Accessible Training: Our centre, the materials and teaching methods are all adapted to accommodate different disabilities (wheelchair proof, picto's)
✅ Customized Skill Development: Our training programs are designed based on individual abilities and strengths, ensuring that each student receives personalized support to maximize their potential.
✅ Rehabilitation & Life Skills Training: We offer empowerment training, communication training, hygiene & self-care training and financial support to help our young talents integrate into society.
✅ Job Placement Support: As soon as our unique talents finished their training, we want to provide job opportunities & internships for them, in collaboration with nearby hotels (future goal)

Our trainingprograms include:
- Hospitality: Students learn essential skills in customer service, housekeeping, bar and food preparation to prepare them for work in hotels, lodges, or restaurants. Our students will be trained at our guesthouse Blooming Zanzibar where they can grow in a safe, supportive environment.
- Soap & Candle Making: In collaboration with local professionals, our students learn to create handmade soaps and beeswax candles, equipping them with skills for self-employment or selling their products.
- Tailoring: Students are trained in sewing, pattern making, and design, enabling them to create and sell their own garments or work in the local textile industry.
